After both teams claimed one win each in the opening two matches, the series came down to the final encounter. The West Indies held their nerve in a tense run chase, with key contributions from fast bowler Shamar Joseph and all-rounder Jason Holder helping the hosts secure the win and lift the series trophy.
The victory provided a strong response from the West Indies after Sri Lanka had earlier claimed the ODI series 1-0, their first ODI series win in the Caribbean in 13 years.
West Indies were led by captain Shai Hope and featured a squad that included Brandon King, Shimron Hetmyer, Rovman Powell, Jason Holder, Akeal Hosein, Romario Shepherd and Sherfane Rutherford.
The series victory gives the West Indies valuable momentum as they continue preparations for future international competitions.
