TESLA CRASHES INTO A 76 YEAR OLD WOMAN HOME ON FRIDAY.

On friday june 19 a 44 year old driver lost control of a speeding tesla model 3 and plowed through a brick a home in katy texas killing a 76 year old grandmother who was inside the driver told harris county investigators that the vehicle’s automated driving system was engaged at the time. The 76 year old who was identified as Martha Avila was in the front room of her home near the intersection of Rose Hollow and Blooming Park lanes when the car smashed into the house. She was flown to a local hospital but unfortunately succumbed to her injuries. The male driver cooperated with the police and did not show initial signs of intoxication. He was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Deputies from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office are actively investigating the crash and reviewing the driver’s claim that the automated driver-assistance system was active. Neighbors reported the car was speeding and appeared to go airborne before jumping a curb and barreling into the residence.
