Agricultural stakeholders in Tobago have come together for the launch of the Farmer Field School Lead Farmer Training Programme – Tobago Phase 2, an initiative aimed at strengthening the island’s agricultural sector through knowledge sharing, innovation, and hands-on learning.
The programme brings together extension officers, lead farmers, and development partners in a collaborative effort to improve agricultural practices and build capacity within the farming community.
The Division of Food Security has expressed appreciation to the National Agricultural Marketing and Development Corporation (NAMDEVCO), the BIOREACH Project team, and all participants for their support and active engagement in the initiative.
Officials say the programme is expected to contribute significantly to the development of a more resilient, productive, and sustainable agricultural sector in Tobago by equipping farmers with practical skills and fostering greater collaboration across the industry.
