Young Dominican athlete Omari Caesar of the Aspirers Athletics Club has been awarded an athletics scholarship to Edwin Allen High School in Jamaica, one of the Caribbean’s leading institutions for developing track and field talent.
The Dominica Athletics Association Inc. congratulated Caesar on the achievement, describing the opportunity as the result of years of dedication, discipline and outstanding performances.
Caesar has already built an impressive athletics résumé. He is a National 3000m Record Holder, a two-time Primary Schools Cross Country Champion and record holder, and was the first primary school student to qualify for the CARIFTA Games representing Dominica.
He also captured three gold medals at the 2026 Trupial Classic in Curaçao and has earned several other national athletics honours.
Much of Caesar’s development has taken place at Benjamin’s Park in Portsmouth, where his commitment and talent have continued to shine.
His move to Edwin Allen High School represents another major step in his promising athletics career and provides an opportunity to further develop his talent at one of Jamaica’s renowned track and field programmes.
